Worldwide Radiology

Fundraising review and programme setup

Project overview

As a small, new charity working in international development, Worldwide Radiology needed to establish a solid foundation for their fundraising efforts to support their ambitious goals. The charity approached Flow Strategies to conduct a comprehensive fundraising review and set up a robust programme that aligned with their organisational mission and growth aspirations.

Flow Strategies was tasked with reviewing Worldwide Radiology’s existing fundraising processes, identifying opportunities, and creating a practical, tailored strategy. This included setting up a fundraising function from scratch, encompassing donation forms and a dedicated fundraising section on their website, building a fundraising pipeline, initiating trust fundraising, drafting a compelling case for support, and implementing the necessary tools and processes to strengthen their fundraising capabilities.

Here’s how we partnered with Worldwide Radiology, following our four-stage approach—Assess, Plan, Implement, and Succeed—to deliver impactful results.

How we approached it

Assess

We began by conducting a thorough assessment of Raising Futures Kenya’s existing CRM setup to understand their donor journey, operational needs, and any data complexities.

This involved securing the non-profit Salesforce license and performing a detailed data audit of their eTapestry system. We identified areas where data needed to be cleaned or restructured before migration to avoid duplication and inaccuracies in the new system.

Plan

With the insights from the assessment, we developed a detailed action plan tailored to Worldwide Radiology’s needs. We created a practical fundraising strategy that outlined both quick wins and longer-term targets, helping the charity set realistic and ambitious goals.

We designed streamlined workflows for donor management and reporting and developed a clear implementation timeline that aligned with their capacity. The plan also included recommendations for diversifying income, identifying new grant opportunities, and enhancing donor engagement. Each step of the strategy was clearly aligned with Worldwide Radiology’s long-term objectives.

Implement

Next, we brought the strategy to life. We set up a dedicated fundraising section on their website, complete with donation forms that were easy to navigate and aligned with their branding. We also created a fundraising pipeline, tailored for trust fundraising, and supported the charity in drafting a compelling case for support to attract potential funders.

Flow Strategies worked hands-on with the team to integrate tools like email marketing platforms and payment systems and provided templates for donor communications to enhance engagement. We delivered training sessions to ensure staff could confidently manage the new systems and processes, empowering them to take ownership of their fundraising activities.

Succeed

The final stage focused on setting up Worldwide Radiology for sustained success. We developed a stewardship plan to strengthen donor relationships and provided interim management support to ensure continuity during the transition. Regular reviews of the fundraising strategy were scheduled to keep the organisation on track.

We also established processes for monitoring key metrics, ensuring their goals were met, and provided ongoing troubleshooting and recommendations for continuous improvement. The charity was equipped with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to take their fundraising to the next level.

Feedback

{

“As a small, new charity in international development, we are very happy to recommend Paula when it comes to getting a sound and practical fundraising review. Her assessment of our strengths and challenges was spot on, and her clear and detailed plan of action very helpful in guiding us towards some easy wins, as well as tackling the more difficult tasks in a way that we as a start-up charity can manage.”

“We feel less daunted by the challenge of fundraising and have much better insight into our own capabilities and how we should target grant proposals. Four months after her report, we already have a stronger social media presence and have managed to recruit two additional volunteers and a new Trustee with the skills and knowledge that Paula recommended. She is an excellent and personable communicator, very supportive and responsive, and it is a real pleasure working with her. We will definitely be keeping in touch!”
